Thank You and An Update
Thank You:
I wish to thank Patricia S., Jim, Laurie, Susan B., and Karen (K.B. to me) for being 5 of my loyal Followers; almost since the first post. It's an honor to have Followers. As time passes, I plan to draw a large base of Followers to my Blog. Apologies to these 5. Due to computer issues, it became necessary to put my Blogs on hiatus. Hopefully those days are over. As I get back into the swing of Blogging, please be patient. You can expect at least one post a month.
Comments:
Especially to those readers who have taken the time to comment on posts on Connie Dycus and Natalie Noone, I thank you with all my heart. The Connie Dycus comments have furthered my research into his life and music career. There will be more to come on Connie Dycus. I may be making a few eBay sellers a little richer too, since I have seen various Connie Dycus singles for sale on eBay. I want to tell his story, so keep the information coming please. Anything about Connie Dycus, his family, his friends, places he recorded, or his travels will be welcome.
Natalie Noone comments have been particularly gratifying. They came very soon after restarting my music Blog, so I am astonished. She is a fine singer, whose CD may be out as early as September, date unknown to this writer. That a few of her fans found my humble Blog post about her is a tribute to her talent. Thank you Natalie Noone fans for astonishing me. Already they are doing Google searches on Natalie Noone! I would love to interview her. Given the humbleness of this Blog, that may not be possible. Music marketing specialists may advise against it. That's understandable. We will follow this new, young, active artist. More in the future.
Not To Be Forgotten:
For those who haven't read the Bob Lind interview post, nor the Vance Brescia CD review, I encourage you to do so. Click on the bottom right, where it says Older Posts, until you find them. Bob Lind's honesty will impress you and this man, who is as current as today's rising sun, creates modern music you should hear. Bob Lind Perspective, is a DVD career biography that's been out since last year. Buy and view it. I will review it in a future post. Bob Lind Perspective is a winner! Vance Brescia may be the finest singer you've never heard of. Once you hear his CD Here Goes SOMEthing you will know there's something wrong with the music business, if it can't sell a voice like his. At present he is music director and lead guitarist for Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone. Comments on those two posts and other posts are appreciated. All other comments are much appreciated, also. Feel encouraged to comment.
Update To Future:
The plan for the future is to continue what you have seen. Rockabilly is a style of music I love to post about; mention of Randy Vanwarmer will continue, I am in search of new artists, people connected with music, and lesser known artists who play for stars or play weekends, sometimes for free. A wide range of topics will teach and preserve a musical heritage we fail to see disappearing or lost in obscurity. No doubt, this Blog can't be all things to all people. What it can be is a Blog that does not confine itself to the detriment of the reader. An evolving Blog works best.
